The Challenge
The fear of the send button
Automation tools fail at the moment of commitment. The builder shows boxes and arrows, but nobody can say with confidence who is about to receive what, so campaigns sit unsent for weeks.
The brief was to make consequence legible before the send rather than discoverable afterwards.
The Approach
How we worked
The canvas is the truth
The visual builder is the campaign, not a diagram of it. Nothing runs that the canvas does not show.
Answer “who” before “send”
A live audience preview sits beside the builder and updates as conditions change, so the population is known before anything is committed.
Make time visible
Waits and delays are drawn to scale, so a branch that idles for a fortnight looks like a fortnight rather than like another box.
Undo everything unsent
Every action is reversible right up to the send, which is what makes the tool safe enough to actually explore.
The Solution
See the consequence before committing to it
The canvas draws the campaign as it will run, with timing to scale and every branch visible without opening a panel.
Beside it, a live preview names the audience each path would reach, updating as conditions are edited — so the send button confirms something already understood.
Inside the product
What it actually does
Every Screen
One product, whatever it is opened on
The phone layout is not the desktop one squeezed down. Density, hit areas and reading order are decided per screen, and the interface keeps its meaning at both ends.
Capability
What we brought to MailWorks
The same services are available on their own — each one links to what it involves, how it runs and what you get.

The Outcome
What it settled
- The builder is the campaign, not a diagram of it
- Audience is known before the send, not after
- Delays drawn to scale rather than as identical boxes
- Every pre-send action reversible
