Why cross-posting the same words fails
The same text pasted to five platforms lands properly on none of them, because each audience arrives with a different expectation. On X, a post competing with a fast-scrolling timeline needs to be one complete thought that works without context. On LinkedIn, the same idea needs a reason it matters professionally, or it reads as though it wandered in from somewhere else.
Instagram wants a human voice and a hook, since the caption is secondary to an image and has to earn attention that the picture already captured. Facebook is conversational and assumes no professional framing at all. Threads sits between X and Instagram — short, informal, and noticeably hostile to hashtag stacks.
Adapting means rewriting for each of those, not cutting the same paragraph to fit. That is what this tool does, and why each version is shown with its own limit and its own fold rather than as five copies of one block of text.
